Is it right or just to set up for the Christmas holiday in November? Much less playing Christmas music before Thanksgiving. Most say that we should get into the Christmas spirit as soon as we can because it makes everyone happier. But then Christmas would not be as special as it is now Some say that we should wait until after Thanksgiving and November to start playing this festive holiday music because it is “Not Right” or “Too early”. Well, which is it?
Up to 89 percent of Americans have actually said that November is too early to set up Christmas decor. My mom, however, disagreed entirely. A week before Christmas she was already putting up decorations around the house and listening to carols. She had songs stuck in her head and designated spots for all the little fancy objects she would place up all over her house. She even decided to place the Christmas tree up and decorate it. She had icicle lights hanging inside and out of the house, wreaths upon wreaths of different sizes, and more miscellaneous decorations than one could count.
Even worse, the Christmas music. If it is not snowing and before Thanksgiving, please, please, please do NOT play Christmas music throughout the house. It makes the Christmas spirit get less and less joyful every year as well as less and less exciting every year. Because of the constant exposure to it, it will make this holiday blander and not as special. Preserve it! Like said before, this is what most Americans believe. So just wait, be patient, and then enjoy Christmas when it was meant to be enjoyed.
